How kayljewel came about

After achieving a BSc(Hons) in Industrial Design from Napier University in 1990, I spent the next 20 years working in design and manufacturing industries. My career took me around the world, and for a short period I settled in Hong Kong where I jointly ran a Design and Logistics company.

Upon returning to Scotland in 2009, I pursued a PGDE at the University of Edinburgh and since then, I’ve been teaching Design & Technology to young people in Fife. In 2021, I was given the opportunity to teach Jewellery as a subject which was an experience that sparked a deep passion for Jewellery Design.

Eager to develop my skills further, I returned to college during 2024/25, studying one day a week at Fife College while continuing my teaching responsibilities.

In my spare time, when I’m not at school, I can usually be found in my studio creating new pieces, supported by my husband and our three miniature dachshunds.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Kay❤️
